Quality assurance through PLAST-CONTROL profile measurement
In order to measure the transverse profile tolerances of the film, a capacitive measuring sensor (C-head) is guided to the film.
Depending on the application, the C-head can be mounted directly in the layflat or on a rotating ring. If the C-head is mounted in the layflat, the film is guided around its circumference past the sensor by the reversing/rotation of the take-off or the nozzle.
By using a traversing unit on a rotating ring, the measuring sensor is guided past the film independently of the reversing/rotation speed, whereby the profile recording remains constant in terms of time and is accelerated considerably in some cases.
For films with sensitive or sticky surfaces, a non-contact profile measurement is also available.
